The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta will be officially launched at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show, in March 2010.The Giulietta name has been established since the 1950s and caught the imagination of car enthusiasts who aspired to own an Alfa Romeo. This new Alfa Romeo sports car will not disappoint you.
The new Giulietta has been built on a completely all-new platform and promises a dynamic drive and performance. The Alfa DNA system will also customise the behaviour of the car to the needs of the driver and is designed to enhance your driving experience. Three set-ups can be selected using the Alfa DNA system, namely Dynamic, Normal and All Weather.
Power and performance – the engines on offer
The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta will offer you four turbo engines at launch which will all be Euro 5 compliant and fitted with a Start&Stop system for reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
- The two petrol engines are a 1.4TB-120 HP and 1.4TB MultiAir - 170 HP.
- The two diesel engines are a 1.6 JTDM -105 HP and a 2.0 JTDM-170 HP.
- The range is completed with a 1750 TBi version producing 235 HP with an exclusive Quadrifoglio Verde configuration.
Style and design

The Alfa Giulietta is the result of a new direction in style and technology, first started with the 8C Competizione supercar and which recalls the brand’s glorious racing past coupled with the latest technologies of today.
The classic Alfa grille has been set into the front bumper and suspended between two air intakes to provide a new look and the front headlamps implement new LED technology plus a Daytime Running Lights (DRL) function is added for maximum active safety.
The coupe shaped side windows add to its streamlined shape, with concealed rear door handles and side ribbing enhancing the car’s slender look.
Inside the interior design is taut and light and features a horizontally developed dashboard with aluminium accents, plus rocker controls which recall the 8C Competizione supercar. The attention to detail and high quality materials all add to the full expression of Italian style in all its glory.
Safety and dynamic behaviour
The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been designed to obtain the maximum Euro NCAP crash safety rating in order to offer both the driver (and passengers) the maximum levels of safety.
The car is also fitted with some of the most sophisticated electronic systems for dynamic control as standard options. These include;
- VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control)
- DST (Dynamic Steering Torque)
- Q2 electronic differential and the Alfa DNA selector
