Overview

Ford is launching this all-new Ford Fiesta Van with a proposed date of Q1 2009. The new Fiesta Van shares many of the qualities of the new Fiesta car. A good looking vehicle that is less boxy than the original it combines the usual Ford practicality with the latest technologies.

This new Fiesta Van features include power steering, electronic brake force distribution and emergency brake assist. Other features include optional side airbags, knee airbag for the driver and the Ford Easyfuel system that’s stops you filling up with the wrong fuel.

The new van will be available with the following choice of engines.

  1. 1.25 litre 82 bhp petrol unit.
  2. 1.4 litre 68 bhp TDCi turbodiesel.
  3. 1.6 litre 90 bhp TDCi turbodiesel.

Technical – subject to change closer to launch

  • Load volume is targeted to exceed 1.0 cubic metres.
  • Maximum useable load length or about 1300 mm.
  • Maximum load box width of 1278 mm (1004 mm between wheel arches).
  • Height up to 936 mm.
  • Fuel economy figures are targeted at matching the car version with a combined fuel consumption of 67.3 mpg for the van.
  • Average CO2 g/km is 110 on the diesel engines.
