Overview

The new Nissan NV200 brings space, comfort and practicality to the small van market and is also available as a seven seat people carrier.

This new van will offer 4.1 cubic metres of load space and is available in a choice of two engines. A 1.6-litre16-valve petrol engine, as found in the Mica, Note and Qashqai offers 108PS and 153 Nm of torque. The diesel version, also found in the Note and Micra, is an 8-valve 1.5 dCi (K9K) 1,462 cc unit. This develops 200 Nm of torque and 86PS. Both models come with a five speed manual gearbox.

Although the van is a little under 4.4m in overall length the load bay is still 2.0m (2040mm) long.  This can house two standard Euro pallets in the cargo area at a time. The van is 1.84m high (so no taller than its rivals) while at 520mm from ground level the floor itself is the lowest in class, for easy loading. Maximum payload is 771kg.

To create more cockpit space the gearlever extends from the two tone wrap around centre consol. Heating and ventilation also extends to all three seats. The van will be well equipped with an optional rear view parking camera, a first for a van in this segment, while the cabin is full of places to store things in numerous pockets, spaces and cup/bottle holders. There is also enough space to hide a camera, mobile phone or other valuables within the upper portion of the glovebox.

Other car like features include Nissan’s Intelligent Key, power windows, ESP, anti- lock brakes with brake assist (BA), driver and passenger airbags and EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), as standard.
