Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer

New Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer review

Overview

Vauxhall’s 2009 European Car of the Year has been a resounding success and a third body style has now been launched. The new Sports Tourer offers a powerful design, innovative technology coupled with increased practicality.

The Sports Tourer is available with all the class leading innovation found in the current range, such as FlexRide, Intelligent AFL and Adaptive 4x4. This estate has a 540-litre boot capacity with the rear seats up and when dropping the 60:40 split seats, this increases to an even more capacious load-lugger of 1530-litres.

A new 1.6 Turbo joins the 1.8, 2.0T and 2.8T V6 petrol engine range, with the 2.0 CDTi 130 PS and 160 PS diesels also available. The lowest CO2 model range is the 2.0 CDTi diesel manual at 159g/km, which for a company car driver fits nicely under the new 160g/km tax threshold. Combined mpg for the manual diesel version is 47.1.

The new Sports Tourer chassis offers high levels of safety and comfort and can be enhanced with the FlexRide system. This provides three dynamic settings namely Standard, Tour and Sport. In addition the Sports Tourer is available in two base chassis: Sport which is standard on all SRi models and Comfort, which is standard on S, Exclusiv, SE and Elite models.

Further information on the model range can be found at www.vauxhall.co.uk and Vauxhall contract hire car leasing is available now.
