COMPARECONTRACTHIRE.COM HELPS

EX-COMPANY CAR DRIVERS SOURCE SOME NEW WHEELS

Company motorists who have opted for a cash allowance from their employer to replace their company car benefit always face the agony of sourcing and then funding themselves some new wheels.

That is until now. Comparecontracthire.com has been launched specifically to help drivers who have been given a cash option to source a new car as well as support SMEs in sourcing their company vehicles from a single point.

Personal Contract Hire is an efficient way to source a car as prices are fixed for the contract duration helping with budgeting annual running costs. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Volkswagen, Mazda in fact any make or model can be quoted.

For company motorists who haven’t been in the marketplace to buy a car for a while, Personal Contract Hire can include all finance and maintenance. All drivers have to do is source their own insurance and fuel the car and then simply hand it back at the end of the contract period (normally on 24, 36 or 48 month contracts).

Environmentally aware drivers can search for their new car by CO2 emissions or MPG, or the more cost conscious can search for cars by their monthly budget.

Companies such as Hitachi Capital, Masterlease and jamjarcars are on comparecontracthire.com’s funding panel providing Personal Contract Hire to ensure visitors receive a diverse source of competitive quotes on over 5,000 cars and a quality service across the UK.

The site also has a steady stream of special offers on the site which are normally changed monthly on a wide range of cars.

“We have filled a gap in the market for a website that brings funding options from a number of providers together in one place, complete with a live quoting engine. Our site also provides sound advice on all elements of running a new car that may not be familiar to motorists who have been in a company vehicle for the last 20 years,” explained managing director Robert Wastell.

Prices were quoted @ 20th October 2008 and may have changed.

COMPARECONTRACTHIRE.COM REVEALS TOP FIVE

FAVOURITE CARS WITH SMALL FLEETS

  • Audi is most popular small fleet brand says Comparecontracthire.com
  • Three premium car makers in top five
  • Top 5 favourites are all diesel

Comparecontracthire.com has revealed the top five most popular cars with small fleets that have visited its site and bought a car over the past two months.

Not surprisingly the lack of a structured fleet policy means companies have a free choice and tend to opt for a mix of the three Ps, Prestige, Practicality, and Price when sourcing a car for themselves or their staff.

By far the most popular brand with small fleets is Audi, representing more orders received on Comparecontracthire.com than any other. Most popular is the A4 2.0D which offers four door practicality and some brand equity with the neighbours.

Second is BMW and its 320D. Low emissions and brand credibility are the main reasons for the car’s success. The M Sport option has also made a difference in that companies can opt for this trim level and the car’s bigger wheels and sports pack makes it look more expensive and exclusive.

Mazda’s 6 makes a surprising appearance at number three. With the same dynamics package as the Mondeo and excellent equipment levels the Mazda is a sensible alternative to more mainstream brands.

Not surprisingly, VW’s Golf comes in at number four. The range is so large now that the car meets the needs of the complete company car driver hierarchy from a young sales executive to a successful sales manager.

Volvo’s V50 is at number five and the third premium car maker in the table. Since the addition of its R-DESIGN trim level and its realigned equipment and pricing, the V50 has seen a radical increase in sales across the fleet sector.

All five cars have something in common in that the 2.0 litre diesel option was the most popular with the small fleet community. Despite the high price differential between the two fuels, the improved fuel consumption diesel popularity beats petrol hands down.

Comparecontracthire.com’s small fleet top 5

1 Audi A4 2.0D

2 BMW 320D

3 Mazda6 2.0D

4 VW Golf 2.0D

5 Volvo V50 2.0D

“SMEs obviously want something that gives them status, but the popularity of diesel shows that they obviously have costs in mind when choosing a company car,” said Managing Director Robert Wastell.

Comparecontracthire.com aims to inform smaller companies about how contract hire works and its financial and administrative benefits. The site also offers guidance and useful links to other areas associated with running a vehicle including fuel costs, CO2, daily rental, accident management, company vehicle policy and Duty of Care.
