The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders’ (SMMT) has held its second International Automotive Summit in Central London with over 250 delegates attending. SEAT Ibiza Good Stuff

SEAT has released the details of a new special edition SEAT Ibiza Good Stuff which is based on the popular Ibiza 1.4 SE and is available in both 5-door hatchback and sporty SC bodystyles. The new Good Stuff special edition has been named after the Columbian pop sensation Shakira’s new European tour (Shakira is an ambassador for the SEAT brand).

The car is available in a number of smart paintshades including Candy White and Speed Blue and offers additional extras as part of the standard package, for example a TomTom satnav system, black iPod Nano 8GB with SEAT logo and SEAT branded content and Bluetooth hands-free phone. The car also has a climate control system, 16-inch “Sonda” alloy wheels, plus dark tinted rear windows. The SE model already comes with electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, front fog lights, one-touch electric windows, height and adjustable steering wheel, trip computer and power steering so this is certainly a well-equipped supermini.

All-new Mazda5

Mazda has released the details of their all-new Mazda5 MPV offering a new sculptured sporty look plus two new powertrains, the MZR 2.0 DISI (direct injection spark ignition) petrol engine with “i-stop” and an updated MZR 1.8 petrol engine. The new Mazda5 has room for up to seven people, with two sliding rear doors for easy access plus varying seat configurations (second and third row).

Kia cee'd 2

The BBC Top Gear team have chosen the Kia cee’d 2 1.6 manual five-door hatchback as their new “Reasonably Priced Car”. MINI updates their range for the 2011 model year

MINI has announced a raft of changes to their 2011 model year offering design improvements,new models and a completely new range of diesel engines. There will be a sub-100g/km CO2 model and the first MINI convertible also gets a diesel. MINI is also fitting DAB radios across its whole range in preparation for the switch to digital technology.

New models should be in showrooms by September 2010 and MINI now has 26 core models, 23 of which are underneath the 160g/km CO2 threshold. Toyota
