Alfa MiTo

If you are thinking of leasing an Alfa MiTo, be aware that the new 2011 model year goes on sale in May this year. The Alfa MiTo range has been streamlined from 17 versions to nine, with both Turismo and Lusso trim levels being replaced by the Sprint.

The entry level versions will now be known as Progression and Distinctive and Quadrifoglio versions will replace Veloce and Cloverleaf. Three new engines will be available; a 1.4 8v 78bhp available in the Progression and Sprint with Start&Stop as standard; 1.4 MultiAir 105 bhp (in the Sprint and Distinctive) and a 1.3 JTDM-2 (Sprint only). This latter engine produces 85bhp and CO2 emissions of just 95g/km.

Citroen C-ZERO electric city car

Ford Mondeo

Ford and Apex Car Rental has supplied a fuel-efficient fleet of low-CO2 Ford vehicles to Sussex County Cricket Club for the use by star players including Monty Panesar, vice-captain Murray Goodwin, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, plus other support staff at the club.

The 15 vehicle Ford fleet consisted of Ford Mondeo and Ford Focus ECOnetic models, as well as the Ford Kuga which has the lowest emissions in it class. Three additional Ford Transit vans will also be used by the grounds staff and also to transport the team’s kit.

Hot Rod

Beaulieu is holding a Hot Rod and Custom Drive-In Day on the 19th June at the grounds of the National Motor Museum. Last year over 600 custom cars attended the event and Beaulieu is expecting a similar turnout this year.

This could be a great Father’s day present with hundreds of stunning Hot Rods and Customs, Classic Americans, Chops and Bobbers on show. Live music on the day will be provided by Ace Trio Rock-A-Billy Swing and there will be several prizes handed out to the best custom vehicle in each decade from the 1920s to the 1960s.

Porsche 911

Porsche is offering a complimentary check for all Porsche cabriolet and roadster drivers (by appointment only) at all Porsche centres on the 4th June 2011.

The complimentary vehicle inspection will be carried out by a fully qualified Porsche technician, to help all Porsche drivers maximise their open-top driving pleasure this summer. All models can be inspected, whatever their age or model, i.e. 356 Speedster, 968 Cabriolet, latest Boxster Spyder or 911 Turbo Cabriolet for example.

Astra GTC

Vauxhall has released the first images of the their stunning new GTC Paris concept car as Vauxhall also confirms testing real cars in preparation for a full production launch.

The order books for this new concept car should open in about 6 weeks time when full pricing, technology, vehicle equipment and full specifications should be released.

The first offical world premiere will be at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15th, 2011.

The production GTC is based on the Paris GTC concept and has a dramatic 3-door body that will be capable of carrying five adults.
