Land and Water Services opt for Toyota Prius hatchback
Monday, May 17th, 2010Civil Engineering Guildford based, Land & Water Services Ltd has recently ordered three Toyota Prius T3 hatchbacks for their project managers, as they aim to reduce the impact of their fleet on the environment. They currently operate a mixed-badge car fleet and are in the process of also reducing the number of 4x4s used by its site managers.
The Toyota Prius has a CO2 emissions figure if just 89g/km and returns 72mpg on the combined fuel cycle making it an ideal environmentally friendly car. The Toyota Prius hatchbacks are expected to travel around 30,000 miles a year and were placed on a four-year contract hire arrangement with Arval, one of the car finance partners on the site. Group Procurement Manager, Simon Greenaway said,”Prius was also selected for the cost benefits it offers to the company and our employees, including the tax advantages”.
Some of the key features on the Prius T3 include automatic air conditioning, head-up display and Touch Tracer controls, seven airbags, smart entry and start, driver’s electric lumbar support, electric heated mirrors, six-speaker CD player,15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps and electric windows all round.
