One in five cars will be sold online predicts GForces web management

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

GForces, one of the UK’s web management companies for the automotive sector, has predicted that one in five cars will be bought online. They believe the usual process of visiting a dealer, test driving the car and then signing on the dotted line, could be replaced with an entirely web-based purchasing process.

Tim Smith, GForces Commercial Director, said: “People are more comfortable with purchasing large products online. Many of our clients our meeting their customer’s demands by moving more of the car sales functions online, such as vehicle reviews, finance propositions and insurance quotations. Visits to dealerships will continue because some people want to test drive the vehicle or speak face-to-face. However, the internet generation are less inclined to this behaviour”.

All the pricing data on Comparecontracthire.com is regularly updated by our car finance partners so if you are looking for business contract hire prices online, you will find all vehicle choices, with prices easily compared.

HPI comments on increase in car finance fraud

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

The Finance & Leasing Leasing Association (FLA) has reported an increase in people who are fraudulently selling cars that they do not own, which is otherwise know as “conversion fraud”. HPI is warning car buyers that if you purchase a vehicle with outstanding finance, that you stand to lose the car and the money you paid for it, if it has outstanding finance. They are recommending that before buying your used car that you run an HPI check

However before you buy a new car it is worth considering car leasing as an alternative option as you might be surprised at the type of new car you can get for money. There are many pros and cons of buying a car and it pays to evaluate all your finance options. Dealing with a reputable leasing company is also always recommended.

GETTING THE BEST OUT OF CONTRACT HIRE

Contract hire is basically a form of renting a car or van for a fixed period. You agree the contract period, at the annual mileage you will perform at. Then just order your new car or van with the leasing company and take delivery of your new vehicle.

However in order to get the best out of contract hire, rather than choosing the exact model you want (as you would normally do when you buy a vehicle with cash, PCP, HP or finance lease), try selecting the rental you want to pay instead and choose your favourite manufacturer brands.

The biggest factor in how a contract hire rental is calculated is the resale value that the leasing company has forecasted when setting their price.

So try the contract hire £ shopper and choose the brands that you like for example Audi, BMW, Honda and Mercedes, by ticking the manufacturers you like. Select how much you want to pay and then whether it is for business or personal contract hire.

You will be really surprised at the differences in rental prices, for cars that cost different amounts. When you contract hire a vehicle the purchase price doesn’t matter as much, as it is the total cost of the car over the contract life that affects the rental.

Not only that but you will see prices compared from some of the top car finance companies in the UK.
