Citroen Berlingo

Citroen has confirmed that from October, all Citroen Berlingo panel van production van models,  powered by Euro 1 1.6 HDi 75hp and 90hp diesel engines, will benefit from better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. Berlingo vans produced from October 2010 with the 1.6HDi 75hp engine will see CO2 emissions reduce to 147g/km from 153g/km. The 1.6HDi 90hp engine’s CO2 emissions will fall from 153g/km to 149g/km. Combined fuel economy also improves to 49.6mpg on the 1.6HDi 75hp and 50.4 on the 90hp unit.

Robert Handyside, Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager commented,”Citroen continues to refine its Euro 4 engines to ensure its LCV customers benefit from fuel efficiency gains and emissions reductions. These latest changes, which are being introduced without any cost penalty, will ensure that the Berlingo maintains its position as one of the UK’s best-selling small vans”. Mobile catering LCV

Jiffy Trucks, the UK’s largest manufacturer of mobile catering vehicles has just launched a new Panino model based on the Citroen Berlingo. The new mobile catering vehicle will be on show at the Food and Drink Exhibition at the NEC Birmingham, between March 21st -24th.

The actual model of Berlingo is the 1000 1.6HDi 90 platform cab and this new range looks likely to be a best seller for Jiffy Trucks. This LCV has a heated oven and chilled food compartment allowing it to meet most needs for any mobile catering company and has a high specification including easy clean finish, stainless steel panelling and internally white finish GRP panelling.

Citroen Enterprise range

Citroen has launched a seven-strong “Enterprise” range of Nemo, Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay panel vans based on the best selling version in each model range. The new Enterprise vans have amongst the highest levels of standard equipment available on any van range on the UK.

All the models will benefit from air-conditioning as standard for enhanced driver comfort, Bluetooth communications package plus reverse parking sensors for improved safety. Here are the headlines for the ranges;

• Berlingo & Dispatch Enterprise models also feature USB connectivity for iPods.
• Dispatch Enterprise models include full steel bulkheads, electrically adjustable heated and twin-lens folding door mirrors, plus fog lights.
• The two new Relay Enterprise vans also get full steel bulkheads.
• In addition, Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation with Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking is also standard on all Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay Enterprise models.  

Nemo

It is the 90th anniversary of Citroen and LCV operators can be part of this celebration by ordering a high value specification ”90 years” Nemo, Berlingo or Dispatch van.

Only 75 of the special 1.4 HDi 70hp “90 years” Nemo vans will be made available, based on the LX model, offering “Garbato Grey” metallic paint, air-conditioning and Bluetooth connectivity as standard extras.

There will also be 150 Berlingo 1.6 HDi 75hp L1 625kg “90 years” vans and 85 Dispatch L1H1 1.6 HDi 90hp “90 years” vans as well. The additions to these vehicle specifications are “Artic Steel” metallic paint, air conditioning and Bluetooth connectivity with USB box.

All the vans have a”90 years” badge to ensure they stand out from the crowd and Citroen van leasing prices on all the range are available off the site. These new models will be loaded shortly.

New Citroen Berlingo

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is acquiring 160 Citroen new Berlingo and Dispatch vans. These are going to be the first of the new models in the 500 strong fleet which already features mainly Citroen vehicles.

The RSPCA is standardising the new Berlingo for most of its transport work whilst using the Dispatch for larger animal rescue projects. Both these Citroen vans should have a 5 year or 100,000 mile service life.
