2010 Footman James Classic Motor Show is in November

Sunday, September 12th, 2010
Footman James Classic Motor Show is at the NEC

Peel P50 - world's smallest production car

The 2010 Footman James Classic Motor Show is being held in November at Birmingham’s NEC  between the 12th and 14th of November. The show theme shows cars of all ages and from nations across the globe that have all been record-breakers.

Show manager, Andy Rouse, said,”Record-breaking cars come in all shapes and sizes and we’ll be recognising as many of them as we can. Many automotive record-breakers are the kind of cars we grew up with-because of the number they’ve sold for example, but we’ll also be looking at the most outlandish, the most competitive and the most frugal.

Some examples of motoring record-breakers

  • The longest ever skid marks were six miles long and was created by the Spirit of America jet powered car on the Utah Salt Flat in 1964.
  • The best selling single model of car ever was the Volkswagen Beetle, with 21,529,464 models being made.
