Classic car fun day out with Vauxhall
Vauxhall Heritage Centre is opening its doors on April the 26th to celebrate “Drive it Day”, with a family fun theme. If you are a fun of classic transport or just want a family fun day out , then as well as the opportunity to look at classic cars you and the family can enjoy free face painting, a VXR racing simulator and an autojumble.
The VXR racing simulator lets you experience life behind the wheel of a British Touring Car first hand and there are plenty of side shows to look at while you wait for a go. If you are an enthusiast who wants to sell old spares that you have accumulated, Vauxhall is offering stands free of charge as well, in a specially reserved area.
The site will be open to any member of the public and is free to enter, with a special parking area right in front of the Heritage Centre for those arriving in old or interesting transport. “Drive it Day” is an initiative set up by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs to encourage owners to take their cars, bikes or trucks to the road for one day.
Opening times will be 10.30am to 4.00pm and the entrance to the Heritage Centre can be found at Park Street, Luton, LU1 3ET, behind the main Griffin House headquarters in Osborne Road.
