Small Sports EV Concept

Honda is planning to unveil three new car concepts, three motorcyle concepts and one power product concept at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show, which takes place at Tokyo Big Sight between the 3rd and the 11th December 2011.

The three car concepts are as follows;

1. Small Sports EV Concept -  next-generation EV sports model.
2. AC-X - next-generation plug-in hybrid offering comfortable urban and long distance motoring.
3. Micro Commuter Concept - A micro-sized electric city car, featuring a HONDA MOTOR COMPO (two-wheel EV) slotted inside the vehicle.

In addition Honda will also show off the “N Concept”, a new mini type of vehicle plus the latest production models of the Accord, Insight, Jazz and CR-Z.

Honda Jazz IMA Hybrid

The Honda Jazz (B-segment car) is set to get Honda’s petrol-electric IMA system added to the range and will make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show. The new car will get the same engine that is in the Insight Hybrid, the 1.3-litre i-VTEC combined a CVT gearbox, with an electric motor to offer a parallel hybrid system.

The new cleaner Jazz also gets a visual refresh with revised headlights with a blue surround, clear rear lights, new front grille, restyled bumpers and a chrome tailgate garnish. Available in a range of existing colours there is also a new Lime Green metallic. The cabin also gets a new fresh look with a darker single colour dashboard and is available with leather trim for the first time in a Jazz model in Europe.

Honda will also display the 2011 Insight, CR-Z, Jazz, CR-V, Accord and Accord Tourer as well as their sports touring motorcycle VFR1200F which has a V4 engine plus their PCX scooter, with a low emission idle-stop 125cc engine. Honda CR-Z sporty hybrid

The sporty Honda CR-Z hybrid is set to star at this year’s Eco Rally on Wednesday the 7th July.The low emission Honda coupe will be leading the convey of low emission cars a they make their way from Brighton to London where the all the cars will congregate around the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal College of Arts.

Honda is the official automotive partner of The 2010 Halfords Tour Series, which over five the next five weeks will see cycling teams from around Britain and Ireland compete in 11 city centre races across the UK. The World Champion cyclist and ambassador for Honda, Ed Clancy, will also get to drive in a new Championship White Civic Type R.

I addition there will be 15 Honda CRVs supplied to the Tour Series organisers and the new Honda CR-Z will also help officials perform the final safety checks on the tracks prior to the race starting.
