New Euro 5 Citroen Nemo is cleaner, greener and carries more

The newly launched Euro 5 compliant Citroen Nemo is on sale now and will offer any van fleet operator even better fuel economy, lower emissions, a more powerful diesel engine, higher payloads, greater loadspace and improved specifications. This new van has a 1.3 HDi diesel at the heart of the range and the new unit, coupled to Stop & Start technology, offers 65.7 combined mpg and CO2 emissions of just 113g/km. There is also a new Euro 5 Nemo with a 1.4-litre petrol engine, offering 44.1 combined mpg and CO2 emissions of 148g/km, if you prefer.

Extra load capacity

All the new diesel vans will have additional load volume, with the 1.3 HDi offering you a 660kg payload capacity, an increase of 50kg. The 1.4-litre petrol keeps the same payload at 610g/km. The increase in payload has been achieved using the new Extenso folding passenger seat which is now a standard option. This increases the load volume by 0.3cu.m to 2.8cu.m (cubic metres).

The new range is available in three trim levels, Nemo X, Nemo LX and Nemo Enterprise and offers generous specification levels as follows.

The entry level Nemo X specification includes:-

-         ABS

-         Driver’s airbag

-         Extenso® folding passenger seat

-         Power assisted steering

-         Transponder immobiliser

-         Two individual front seats, with height adjustable seat belts

-         Height adjustable/’Guide-me home’ headlamps

-         Two asymmetrical unglazed rear doors

-         Trip computer

-         12 volt socket on centre console

To this comprehensive specification, Nemo LX adds:-

-         Remote control central locking with deadlocks

-         Separate locking of load compartment

-         Electric front windows

-         Electrically adjustable/heated door mirrors

-         Height adjustable driver’s seat

-         Lumbar adjustment and armrest

-         Height/reach adjustable steering wheel

-         Dash-mounted clip board

-         Nearside sliding side load door

The Nemo Enterprise specification also adds:-

-     Air conditioning

-     Bluetooth®

-     Rear parking sensors

Citroen is adding new Enterprise versions of the Nemo, Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay to its LCV range from January 2010. The additional specification adds air-conditioning, Bluetooth and reverse parking sensors.
