New Ford Fiesta Automatic
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009Ford has added a new smooth operator to the Fiesta range with a Durashift automatic transmission model. The new transmission is available on the Fiesta 1.4-litre 96PS Duratec petrol engine and offers a more responsive feel with the new car being 40kg lighter than the old model.
Economy and performance is not compromised with 0-62mph being reached in 13.9 seconds while delivering a combined mpg of 43.4 and a CO2 rating of 154g/km, well below the new 160g/km tax threshold. This new 1.4-litre automatic is available in in Style+, Zetec and Titanium trim levels.
Chris Muers, Ford Fiesta product manager commented: ” Typically, around 10 per cent of small car buyers specify an auto option, so this convenience technology is an important addition to a range that now offers an option for every taste and need”.
