Range Rover will be unveiling the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition which will be launched to the public at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March. This is the most luxurious Range Rover ever built and only 500 models will be made and sold worldwide in over 20 countries.

Luxury interior

This new Range Rover takes levels of luxury for both driver and passengers to a new level with even the load space kitted out with a super yacht inspired teak floor, with metal and leather detailing.

The cabin of the vehicle uses handcrafted soft feel natural leathers and even the rear seats are electrically adjusted. The rear console offers a machined aluminium laptop table and drinks chiller and you get two Apple iPad as standard.

This car is offered in two unique colours, Roussillon Red or Otago Stone and both are available with body coloured door handles, dark atlas radiator grille and side vents. The Ultimate Edition is kitted out with new 20-inch multi-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels plus you also have the option of an Exterior Pack.

The V8 Engine line-up consists of a superb new 4.4-litre LR-TDV8 Diesel with eight-speed transmission incorporating Drive Select and Paddle Shift as standard, which offers you 30.1 combined mpg and a 0-60 time of 7.5 seconds. Or there is the LR-V8 5.0-litre supercharged engine which takes you from 0-60 in only 5.9 seconds, which is pretty quick for a vehicle of this size. Finally, both models come with Land Rover’s award-winning Terrain Response system, with five different settings to suit different terrains, including new Hill Start Assist and Gradient Acceleration Control.

SsangYong SUT 1 concept

SsangYong is showing off its SUT 1 concept (Sports Utility Truck) at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show, with the new model similar in size to current SsangYong Actyon Sports. The new SUT is 4,985mm long x 1,910mm wide and 1,755mm high, with a 3,060mm wheelbase.

This new model has a Euro 5, 2.0-litre diesel engine, producing 155ps and will be offered in 6-speed manual or automatic transmission in either 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. It should be on sale in Europe by early 2012.

It promises to deliver a optimum torque across a broad rev range of 1,500-2,800rpm offering you great acceleration at low engine speeds. SsangYong business contract hire is also on the site now if 2012 seems a long way off.

Toyota Prius+

Toyota will be focussing on their significant improvements in hybrid technology plus they will be launching some new hybrid models at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011. Toyota’s show stand is being devoted to Hybrid Synergy Drive technologies and includes plug-in hybrids, electric vehicles and also fuel cell hybrid vehicles.

Yaris HSD hybrid

The show will see the world debut of the Yaris HSD hybrid concept which brings green technology to the B-segment class, Europe’s largest market vehicle sector. This latest hybrid includes all the hybrid-specific styling cues and forward thinking designs for the future.

Toyota will also be showing the Prius+ which offers seven seats in a full hybrid powertrain and offers more accommodation and load space than its sister model, the standard Prius. This new model follows on from the launch of the Prius v hybrid MPV in North America last month.

In addition Toyota is also demonstrating their wide range of hybrid technologies which can be used in Plug-in-Hybrids (PHV), Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicles (FCHV).

Ferrari FF 4WD

The Ferrari FF 4WD GT Sports car concept has been action in the snow and Ferrari has released some more pictures of their powerful new four-seater in action.

This superb new Pinafarina design car is powered by a V12 engine and boasts a 0-62mph time of just 3.7 seconds and with its new 4WD system, is a first for Ferrari.

The car will be officially launched in March at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 when full details and vehicle specifications will be released.

Hyundai Curb at Geneva

Hyundai is set to unveil two exciting new models for Europe, plus their latest concept car, at the Geneva Motor Show next month. All three new models capture the new era for Hyundai, with their slogan,”New Thinking. New Possibilities”.

Hyundai Veloster

The i40 all-new D-Segment car makes its world debut with its innovative shape and spacious and luxurious interior and is set to go on sale in June 2011.

The new i40 will also be joined by the Veloster, the three-door coupe that features a unique 1+2 door configuration with sport looks, practicality and CO2 emissions of just 132g/km.

The concept car is called Curb, codenamed HCD-12 and this Urban Activity Vehicle (UAV) has a new sculptured styling and will also showcase Hyundai’s Blue Drive eco-focussed technology.

New 2011 Tiguan model

Volkswagen has released the first pictures of the revised 2011 Tiguan compact 4×4 that is set to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

This revised model features a new front end, defined by horizontal lines , to bring it into line with the latest Volkswagen styling and the Tiguan looks much sharper and sleeker than the current model.

On sale in Germany already, the new Volkswagen Tiguan goes on sale in the UK in early summer with first deliveries expected in August 2011.

Jaguar E-Type

Jaguar is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their legendary E-Type supercar with a series of high-profile events throughout the year. The first event in the calendar is the Geneva Motor Show, followed by the Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed, the Pebble Beach Concours, the Nurburgring Old Timer Grand Prix plus plenty more other Jaguar hosted events worldwide.

50th anniversary of the E-Type

The original E-Type was presented to the press in 1961 and even Enzo Ferrari admitted it was”the most beautiful car in the world”. At launch the E-Type cost £2,256 15s including purchase tax and optional wire wheels, which is around £38,000 in today’s money.

The E-Type stayed in production for around 14 years with more than 70,000 units being sold and was driven by a host of famous stars including George Best, Brigitte Bardot, Tony Curtis and Steve McQueen.

The E-Type had a straight-six engine and in 3.8-litre form produced 265bhp reaching 150mph making it one of the fastest cars in production in the 1960s. Jaguar Design Director, Ian Callum, said,”Here was a car that encapsulated the spirit of the revolutionary era it came to symbolise.The E-Type is a design that even today continues to inform the work we do in styling the Jaguars of the future”. New Kia Picanto

The new Kia Picanto will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011 and will be available when launched, with four super-efficient powertrains, with low emissions and enhanced economy.

Power outputs will range from 69 to 85 ps and exhaust emissions will be in the range from 95g/km to 105g/km. There will be three versions of the 1-litre, three cylinder Kappa engine (petrol, flex fuel and bi-fuel) and a single 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol Kappa power unit. Kia is also promising some UK cars will be available with their fuel-stretching ISG technologies, offering you emissions between 90g/km and 100g/km, too.

The new Kia Picanto has also been enhanced with some “big-car” safety and comfort features like LED daytime running lights, button-start with smart key, grip-type outside door handles and six or seven airbags, depending on the model. Ferrari FF

The revolutionary new four-seater, four-wheel drive,V12 Ferrari is called the FF and Ferrari has now released the official first photographs for the company’s most powerful car. Not only that, it is the brand’s first four-wheel drive vehicle and ushers in an entirely new GT sports car concept.

The car is designed by Pinafarina and the V12 engine compliments the shape and sweeping designs perfectly, with the car promising high performance, sophisticated elegance and an amazing unique driving experience.  The V12 6,262cc direct injection engine offers a stunning 0-62mph figure of just 3.7 seconds.

This new FF four-seater can comfortably accommodate four people and their luggage thanks to the best cabin space and boot capacity (450litres extendable to 800).

The new Ferrari FF will be available in six-model specific exterior colours and sumptuous leather interior trim and will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011.

New Saab-9-5 SportWagon

Saab’s new 9-5 SportWagon is set to be unveiled at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show in March 2011 and will offer a distinctive alternative choice to executive drivers in the premium estate segment. The much-awaited new Saab 9-5 SportWagon will be available to order in the Spring with first deliveries in the UK for September 2011, just in time for the new registration plate.

The all-new Saab 9-5 SportWagon shares the same bold Aero-X inspired looks and has the same powertrain as the 9-5 Saloon, with all-turbo and diesel engines. The new car also comes with Saab’s XWD all-wheel drive system and other advanced features like Saab DriveSense adaptive chassis control, adaptive cruise control (late 2012), Bi-Xenon SmartBeam adaptive lighting, keyless entry and starting, tri-zone air conditioning and Head-up Display which projects information, “aircraft style”, in the windshield.

The cargo space is fully carpeted and the 60/40 split reardecks fold down almost completely flat, offering a load capacity of up to 1,600 litres (527 litres with the seats up), without any obstacles such as rear-wheel arch intrusions. The car is also available with a smart tailgate, with remotely controlled power operation, either by a rotary knob in the driver’s door or a button on the car’s key fob. There is also a touchpad on the outside of the tailgate to also trigger opening and closing.
