When the Germans think of a quality car, Autobild, the leading German motoring magazine has found that only one name comes to mind and that’s Hyundai. They awarded Hyundai the honour of first-place in its annual Autobild Quality Report for 2010 eclipsing Toyota, BMW and Audi.

Autobild evaluates seven criteria, including feedback from 9,278 owners, manufacturer warranty provisioning, recall information and data from over 7.5 million vehicle inspections (from Germany’s Technische Uberwachung Verein report -TUV).  This accolade follows the Hyundai i30 being voted by Which? consumer guide magazine readers as Britains’ most reliable medium sized car. Hyundai contract hire prices on the i30 are available now.

Driver Power 2010

Auto Express has released the initial results from their Driver Power 2010 results with over 23,000 drivers taking part to vote for the most reliable cars. The Hyundai i30 was voted the top vehicle for customer satisfaction and reliability and Skoda was voted best overall manufacturer.

Hyundai i10 and i30 ES

Hyundai has gone “Extra Special” with two new ES versions of their best selling i10 and i30 models. These “limited editions” are based on the entry level cars in both ranges but have extra style, luxury and offer even better value for money.

The i10 ES has all the specification of the Classic model including four air-bags, air conditioning, central locking and front electric windows. In the addition the ES adds driver’s seat height adjustment, remote central locking and colourful inserts on the interior seating, dashboard and door panels. Outside features include body-coloured door handles, mirrors and bumper inserts. The 1.1-litre engine offers a combined fuel consumption of 56.5 mpg and a CO2 figure of just 119/gkm.

The i30 is based on the popular 1.4-litre Comfort model but has added extra luxury equipement including electronic climate control, 16-inch alloy wheels, reversing sensors and a stylish silver front grille. Inside this silver treatment is also reflected with an alloy-look centre fascia. The 1.4-litre engine returns 46.3mpg on the combined fuel cycle and has a CO2 figure of 145g/km.
