Shoppers at the world-famous department store, Harrods, will be able to see the new Hyundai ix35 on show in a stunning window display. From the 7th July for one week, Hyundai will be showing off their new SUV alongside some of the high quality and other stylish goods on show.

The dazzling white model on show is a Premium model and Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai’s managing director said,”We are very proud to have our newest model on display in such an iconic location. Mitsubishi Motors (UK) has released pricing and specification details of their new urban crossover vehicle, the ASX. This model is designed to compete in the Nissan Qashqai and Hyundai ix35 segment and is aimed at customers who would normally buy a C-segment car like the Volkswagen Golf or Ford Focus, or maybe looking at down-sizing from their family estate car.

Most of the models available will be with 2WD with AWC electronicallycontrolled 4WD offered on the 1.8 DiD diesel only. There will be a choice of two engines at the launch in July, namely a 1.6-litre 115bhp petrol engine and a 1.8 DiD 147bhp turbodiesel with a 5-speed manual offered on the petrol model and a 6-speed manual on the diesel.

The ASX also offers excellent emissions and fuel economy with its Automatic Stop & Go, electric power steering, low rolling resistance tyres, regenerative brakes, low viscosity oil, LED lighting and weight reduction measures all contributing.

Hyundai has set another company record by selling over 15,000 models in the month of March (15,241), beating the previous record of 11,031 set in September 2009. Only one in three on the March registrations were due to car scrappage customers and this now shows Hyundai is breaking into other markets, offering value for money and great build quality.

Best seller in the month was the i10 (6,195 units), followed by the i30 with 4,584 units and the i20 with 3,570. March also saw the launch of the eagerly awaited Hyundai ix35 (the replacement for the Tucson) and Hyundai has already taken over 500 orders for this new SUV.

Hyundai has released the pricing for their eagerly awaited ix35 SUV and at an entry level price of £16,495, this new SUV looks set to be a popular model for Hyundai.

The entry level Style model features 17-inch alloy wheels, ESP, air conditioning, built-in Bluetooth connectivity, heated front and rear seats, electric heated door mirrors with integrated LED side repeaters, leather steering wheel and gearknob, reverse parking sensors and a trip computer making this an attractive entry level option.

Step up to the Premium model and you get 18-inch alloy wheels, double length panoramic glass sunroof, automatic headlights, cruise control, dual zone climate control, electric folding door mirrors, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, rear privacy glass, rain-sensing wipers, part-leather upholstery and roof rails.

Currently all models will be available in a 2.0-litre petrol or 2.0-litre diesel however a new 1.6-litre petrol with direct injection technology and a new 1.7-litre diesel engine is in the pipeline for later in the year.
