Infiniti at 77 Piccadilly

Infiniti, the luxury automotive brand from Japan, has opened a brand new showroom in Piccadilly in London’s West End, with an exclusive 77 Piccadilly as the address. This is the second showroom to be opened following the unveiling of the inaugural centre in Reading, Berkshire.

Two further standalone Centres in Chiswick and Hatfield will also be opened  next year, plus centres in Leeds and Stockport, with Glasgow and Birmingham opening later in 2010. The Infiniti range includes models such as the Infiniti G sedan, coupe and convertible, the all-new Infiniti M luxury sedan, Infiniti EX compact crossover, Infiniti FX performance crossover and the Infiniti QX luxury SUV. Skoda Superb Estate 4x4

Skoda has updated their Superb Estate 4×4 with a fourth generation Haldex clutch which transfers torque to whichever wheels have the most traction, by taking signals from the ABS sensors. The new models are available in a 1.8 TSI 160bhp and 3.6 V6 260bhp petrol engines as well as a 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp diesel.

Google Earth

Audi has made some great technological advances with the new Audi A8  with this luxury car accessing information via the internet via mobile phone connectivity.

These include new state-of -the-art high resolution three-dimensional aerial and satellite Google Earth imagery which is the first for a production car. As well as Google Earth, the Audi A8 offers in their MMI navigation plus system, an optional integrated GPRS/EDGE modem allowing points of interest to also be selected.

All-new Audi A8

Audi has launched their new A8 flagship model at the Design Miami exhibition in Florida,USA. The all-new Audi A8 is crafted entirely from lightweight aluminium and is bristling with new technology.

Highlights include all-LED headlights, new touch screen Multi Media Interface (MMI) incorporating new “anticipatory” satellite navigation with night vision and an Audi drive select adaptive dynamics system with optional sports differential. All models will feature energy recuperation technology with the 3.0 V6 TDI version coming with an engine start-stop function.  The 3.0-litre TDI will develop 204PS and also offers a lowest-in-class CO2 of only 159g/km.

The other models are a 4.2-litre V8 TDI (350PS) and the 4.2-litre V8 FSI petrol engine (372PS). Orders are being taken now for this luxury Audi with deliveries expected in spring 2010.

Infiniti Essence

Infiniti, the luxury car make from Japan, will be showcasing the Infiniti Essence at the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Essence was created to celebrate the 20 year history of Infiniti as a creator of luxury high performance cars. This dramatic design is a 600PS petrol/electric hybrid coupe with rear wheel drive and offers a dramatic design, technology and outstanding performance.

Infiniti G37

The Essence will be joined by the new V6 powered G37 Convertible in right hand drive form, the first example ever produced. The G37 comes in two guises with both featuring a metal three piece folding roof. The G37 looks as good with top up as it does down and comes in two models.

Infiniti G37 Convertible

Infiniti, the luxury car company from Japan has released the final European specifications for the G37 Convertible which is certainly an eye catching design. The G37 Convertible will be offered in two comprehensively equipped models, both featuring a metal three-piece folding roof which arguably makes it look as good with the roof up as well as down.

Power comes from a 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine supplying 320PS to the rear wheels. This makes it one of the  fastest four-seater convertibles on the market with acceleration from 0-62mph in only 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 155mph, where conditions allow.

Infiniti G37 Convertible

Standard equipment is lavish and includes 19-inch alloy wheels with sport brakes, a wind deflector, leather seats, active cornering Bi-Xenon headlamps and LED rears, dual-zone adaptive climate control with auto re-circulation and heated and electrically adjustable front seats.

This new sports tourer convertible has a new information and entertainment system known as Connectiviti. In the GT version it includes a powerful seven-speaker audio system incorporating a CD player with MP3 disc compatibility as well as a 2GB Music Box and iPod/USB compatibility, Bluetooth phone connection with voice controls, parking sensor and a rear view camera.

The slightly more expensive GT Premium version also adds on top of the GT specification, Connectiviti+ which has a 30Gb HDD navigation system with a 3D Points of Interest information bank supplied by Michelin Green Guide – a world’s first. You can choose routes that provide a scenic option with interesting information along route and it also features fixed speed camera locations for your safety. The Music Box stores 10GB of music or about 300 CD’s and this with leather front seat memory function and 13 speaker Bose Premium sound system, finishes off the luxury items.

Infiniti G37 Convertible

Although you only have two models to choose from there are 48 colour and trim combinations, many of whch are unique to this convertible. One choice that is reserved for the GT Premium, with automatic transmission, is Monaco Red leather with red stained maple wood. This dramatic combination can be revealed in only 25 seconds as that’s how long it takes the metal roof to fold and store.
