Mazda Motors UK has confirmed they have signed a new dealer contract hire leasing agreement with ALD Automotive which supports Mazda’s SME Business Development Programme. This replaces the agreement they had with Lex Autolease.

The new agreement will see both business and personal contract hire leasing services supporting SME sales throughout the 156 Mazda UK dealers. Mazda Car Configurator

Mazda has just launched a new Mazda Car Configurator to help its customers work out the exact appearance and specification of their next Mazda car, or merely passing the time working out what your Mazda dream car might be.

You can compare and save up to three cars at a time, from the newly upgraded Mazda2, the new Mazda5 or perhaps the MX-5 Roadster. The image of the vehicle can be viewed as a 180 degrees rotation or in two different outdoor locations. You can also see interior images and change the series and trim to see what the differences are.

All-new Mazda5

Mazda has released the details of their all-new Mazda5 MPV offering a new sculptured sporty look plus two new powertrains, the MZR 2.0 DISI (direct injection spark ignition) petrol engine with “i-stop” and an updated MZR 1.8 petrol engine. The new Mazda5 has room for up to seven people, with two sliding rear doors for easy access plus varying seat configurations (second and third row).

Equipment is generous with a 4 GB  navigation system with 99% European coverage, new audio system with CD player and MP3 with aux connection and there are eight exterior colours available, with a new Clear Water Blue also on offer. New Mazda6

The Mazda6 is updated this month with the introduction of a new 19-strong model range offering better fuel economy (by up to 6.4%) and lower CO2 emissions (up to 6.1 %). Business fleets and company car drivers now have a choice of hatchback and estate versions, as the saloon model is no longer available. There are three petrol engine options and three diesel engines, with four equipment levels namely S, TS, TS2 and Sport.

Upgraded equipment includes “smart ” turn indicators and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) for the S grade and all other models. The TS (and all upward models) gets a rear spoiler, the TS2 (and upwards) gets front and rear parking sensors and Hill Hold Assist (HHA) and the Sport gets swivel-type AFS front lights. Most “essential need” company car drivers will probably lean towards the 2.2D 129ps in TS trim which now emits 138g/km. Mazda contract hire prices will be loaded shortly.

New 2010 Mazda6

The new upgraded 2010 Mazda6 range is going on sale early due to demand from retail and fleet customers. The new 19-strong range of cars feature refreshed exterior and interior styling and will now be available in two body styles, hatchback and estate. The Mazda6 saloon and the Sports Luxury derivate will no longer be available in the UK.

Moving up the range the TS (and upwards) gets a rear spoiler, front and rear parking sensors plus Hill Hold Assist (HHA) (for the TS2 upwards) and AFS front lights for the Sport model. Full leather trim is available as an option on TS2 and Sport models and includes powered front and driver passenger seats with a memory function on the driver’s seats.
