New car website for petrolheads offers you a worldwide audience
Saturday, November 26th, 2011A new online website called www.monkeyplates.com has just been launched and is being billed as “Facebook for cars”. It has a rapidly growing following of petrolheads and basically it lets people connect and share online, with photos, video albums, messaging, chat, news, blogs and a host of other features in the pipeline.
You can open up your profile to the world if you want and customised stickers can be linked to your account to give you your unique profile. It is free to sign up, so whether you are a petrolhead or just a social animal this unique website fits the bill.
It was created in January 2011 by Oliver Thomas, a motoring journalist and professional driver, and he commented,”We wanted to make a direct link between enthusiasts, their rides and the internet. With monkeyplate, the car becomes a mobile billboard for whatever the user wants to show online. News, event pictures, track day videos…anything. It works 24/7, all, anywhere”.
