Carillion chooses Peugeot
Carillion Property Services has reduced its CO2 emissions by seven per cent and taken thousand of pounds of its fuel bills in just six weeks. They have achieved this by adding 200 diesel-engined Peugeot light commercial vans to their fleet.
The vans including Peugeot Bipper, Partner, Expert and the larger Boxer model, have been supplied on a four year with-maintenance contract hire arrangement by Carillion Fleet Management. All the vans are fitted with speed limiters and tracking systems which are helping drive down their fuel bills by up to seven per cent through smarter driving techniques. In their Scotland operation alone Carillion Property Services is estimating they will save £24,000 in the next 12 months.
Mark Smith of Carillion Property Services said “We were keen to have all our vehicles from one manufacturer and there was no other company that could match the sheer variety of sizes, together with the impressive service that Peugeot delivers”.
Martin Hayes, Fleet Sales Manager at Peugeot Commercial Vehicles UK, said: “Light Commercial Vans have changed dramatically in recent years and the traditional “one size fits all” approach no longer offers the flexibility our customers are looking for. That’s why Peugeot has designed and engineered a comprehensive range of vans in a selection of sizes in order to appeal to as many potential customers as possible”.
The vans will be used by Carillion engineers carrying out building maintenance work across the UK with the smaller vans being deployed in urban and city environments. Peugeot van leasing on the whole range and all other van manufacturers can be easily compared via our £ Shopper quote engine to see if Peugeot vans are right for you.
