Peugeot gets the Blue Light from Police on Framework Agreement
Wednesday, October 13th, 2010Peugeot has been added to the Police Framework agreement for the provision of new emergency vehicles and equipment. In particular, the Peugeot 308 achieved top place as the vehicle of choice in the “beat car” category. The contract will allow all Police, Fire and Ambulance Authorities to purchase Peugeot’s wide range of passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Peugeot’s Specialist Vehicles Operation (PSVO) is a “one-stop-shop” preparation centre for emergency vehicles and is based at the company’s headquarters in Coventry. It is staffed by dedicated Peugeot trained technicians who work on all the vehicles and have vast experience in creating bespoke vehicles for the emergency services.
The Peugeot range of vehicles has a wide range of applications and a sample of some are below.
- Beat Car- Peugeot 308
- Cell vehicle – Peugeot Expert van
- Police dog vehicle – Peugeot Expert (for 2-4 dogs), Peugeot Partner van and Peugeot 308 SW (for 2 dogs)
- PSU (Public Sector Unit) - Peugeot Boxer van
- Mobile Police and Fire stations – Peugeot Boxer van
- Covert vehicles – 207 hatchback, 3008 crossover, 5008 compact MPV 7-seater, 4007 SUV 4×4
From 2011 onwards…..
- All-electric – Peugeot iON
- Hybrid- Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 (combines four -wheel drive, zero emissions, diesel efficiency and 74mpg)
- Large patrol car- new Peugeot 508
Peugeot’s Fleet Director, Phil Robson, said,”Peugeot offers the Emergency Services high quality products that are provided “fit for purpose” to the required specification and also offer “best value” to the fleet manager”.
