New Volkswagen Polo Match

Volkswagen has added a new Match model to its popular Polo car range which now replaces the SE and Moda trim levels. The new Volkswagen Polo Match adds around £650 extra equipment but actually costs about £215 less than the outgoing models.

Some of the highlights include 15-inch “Castille” alloy wheels, front fog lights, heat insulating rear window, RCD 310 radio/CD player, multifunction computer, manual air conditioning, and Multi Device Interface (MDI) with iPod connectivity as standard vehicle specification.

Saab 9-3 Aero Sportwagon MY12

Saab has announced its pricing and specifications for their Saab 9-3 MY12, offering a refreshed exterior and interior styling with a generous level of standard of equipment across the range. There are also two new petrol engines and the new model year now offers the most powerful sub 120g/km diesel saloon and estate in its class.

All MY12 9-3 models come with automatic dimming mirrors inside and also outside of the vehicle,electric folding mirrors and automatic rain sensing wipers. This is in addition to alloy wheels, leather trimmed interior, heated front seats, park assist, six airbags, and Bluetooth phone integration.

The two specification levels are SE and Aero and the new fresh look is distinguished at the front by new front bumpers, “ice block” headlamps and a new grille. At the rear, all Saloon variants now get a boot-mounted spoiler. The two new 2.0-litre petrol turbo engines produce 163bhp and 220hp and both are available in six-speed manual and automatic transmission. The new 220hp 2.0-litre petrol turbo Aero Saloon and Sportwagon is now the most powerful sub 160g/km petrol engine on the market.

However, the likely fleet favourite is probably going to be the 119g/km 9-3 1.9-litre manual twin-turbo diesel in Saloon or Sportwagon, with its class-leading emissions and powerful performance for a sub 120g/km car. Saab contract hire leasing prices on the models will be on the site shortly.

New Honda Civic 2011

Honda has given the 2011 model versions of the Honda Civic a refresh with a range of cosmetic enhancements for the new model year. The exterior updates include a new front grille, taking inspiration from the “Type R” model, which creates a more upmarket face for this popular hatchback.

There are also new allow wheels available with 16-inch rims on the Civic 5-door range in 1.4-litre  SE and Si, plus 1.8-litre SE trim. The five-door 1.8-litre Si now has the new 17-inch wheels.  The Type S gets colour-coded sideskirts and revised 16-inch alloys plus there is a new dynamic exterior colour available, called Ionized Bronze.

All-new Volvo V60

The all-new Volvo V60 sports wagon pricing and vehicle specification has been announced by Volvo Car UK and the car is available in four trim levels, plus a wide choice of petrol or diesel engines. The four trim levels are ES, SE, SE Lux and R-Design and prices for the range start from £23,145, for the 150PS T3 ES model.

Standard equipment is also generous, with the entry level ES models including Electronic Climate Control, Cruise Control, 5-inch colour screen as part of the new Infotainment system, Information Centre, floor mats, Passenger Airbag Cut-Off Switch, steering wheel remote audio controls, alloy wheels and leather steering wheel and gear stick. In addition you also get a six-speaker Performance Sound System, 16-inch alloy wheels and charcoal trim as standard.

The UK is expected to be one of the largest markets for the R-Design model with an expected uptake of 20%. The R-Design models feature more dynamic driving characteristics and enhanced styling than the standard cars.  Exterior upgrades include 18-inch alloy wheels, revised dampers, a 15mm lowered chassis, new front valance and twin exhausts. Inside, the car has driver and front passenger sports seats, an R-Design steering wheel, gear selector, sports pedals and floor-mats. New Volkswagen Touareg

Volkswagen has released the details of the new Volkswagen Touareg, with first deliveries into the UK expected in October. The entry level model is the SE 3.0-litre TDI 240PS (returning 38.2mpg) and other specifications in the range are Escape, Altitude, Altitude V8 and the Hybrid model, with all models featuring a new eight-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox.

The Hybrid model is powered by a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 TSI petrol engine developing 333 PS and an electric motor generating 47 PS. This 380 PS combination reaches 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds yet still returns 38.2 combined mpg with CO2 emissions at 193g/km.

Standard equipment across the four ranges is comprehensive, with the SE entry model offering you leather trim, touchscreen satellite navigation with DAB radio, six airbags, burr walnut interior trim, 2Zone climate control and 4MOTION four wheel drive as standard. Volkswagen has unveiled their all-new Touraeg, promising 20 per cent more fuel efficiency than the model it replaces. The new vehicle also retains all the same attributes as before, with its excellent space, comfort, refinement and off road/towing capabilities.

The all-new Touraeg has undergone exterior styling changes to follow the direction set by the Golf Mark VI and the new Polo. In addition standard models will feature eight-speed transmission, plus on the majority of new models, Start/Stop technology, touchscreen satellite navigation and leather upholstery are also on offer. Available in four trim levels, SE, Altitude, Hybrid and Escape, the new Touraeg will be powered by three engines as follows.

• 3.0-litre V6 diesel ( SE, Altitude and Escape) offering 38.1 combined mpg and CO2 emissions of 195g/km.
• 3.3-litre suprecharged V6 Hybrid offering you 34.4 combined mpg, 193g/km and 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds.
• 4.2-litre V8 (in Altitude trim) offering  31.0 combined mpg and 239g/km

Production for the model will start in June with deliveries commencing in August, however full pricing and vehicle specifications have yet to be announced.

Peugeot 308 CC

The Peugeot 308 CC is going to be the first model in the Peugeot range to benefit from a new 1.6-litre 112bhp HDi FAP Euro 5 diesel engine. This new engine will be available in the Sport and SE trim levels and will be known as the HDi 112.

Thanks to the new high tech design there are significant reductions in mpg fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, using the new engine over the current 110hp unit. Torque output has been increased by 12.5% across the range of rpm and helps the driver operate the car at lower engine speeds.

New Chrysler 300C

The new 2010 Chrysler 300C range is launched offering four derivatives, the 300C SE, SR and SRT comes with an automatic gearbox and 3.0-litre diesel V6 engine plus the SRT-8, which is coupled with a mighty 6.1-litre V8 petrol.

The entry level diesel SE offers a high level of standard specification with leather trimmed seats, AM/FM radio with CD player (incl. MP3 capability) ESP, ABS, front, rear side curtain airbags, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, front fog lamps and parking sensors (front and rear). Outside you can add Xenon headlamps, rain sensing windscreen wipers and 18-inch aluminium wheels. 

The efficient 3.0-litre diesel engine reaches 0-62mph in only 8.7 seconds with a top speed of 143mph (where permitted). The 300C SR adds in addition to the SE specification, auto-dimming rear view mirror, an upgraded Boston Acoustics sound system, gps satellite system and a hands-free communication system using Bluetooth technology.

Step up to the SRT and you can add as standard a mesh grille with chrome surround, body coloured door mirrors and door handles,wheel arch extensions, 20-inch aluminium wheels, leather and suede trimmed sports seats and carbon fibre interior details.

The awesome SRT-8 is cabable of reaching 0.62.5 in just 5 seconds and onto a top speed of 165mph. The specification of this supercar adds Brembo calipers, power sunroof, performance tuned steering and suspension and at £41,795 is probably the most affordable performance car in its class.

New Astra
