The Skoda Superb Estate has been voted “Best Estate” in the Daily Express’s Motoring Oscars and MSN cars also named the Superb Estate and Fabia vRS in the list of MSN Cars’ Best Cars of 2010.

Nat Barnes, of the Daily Express, said,”Superb estate has a huge 1,865-litre boot. Better still, prices start at just £17,720, undercutting the Mercedes E-Class by more than 12 grand. You won’t find more metal for your money”.

The hot Fabia vRS also made MSN’s list and Peter Burgess of MSN Cars said,”I had no preconceptions about the vRS, but within 100 metres I was smitten.The 180hp supercharged engine and turbocharged 1.4 is a dream, the DSG transmission superb and the chassis sublime. The Skoda Superb Estate has just been awarded the title of Family Car of the Year by Channel 5′s hit motoring show, Fifth Gear. This is the 20th award that Skoda has picked up in 2010 across its whole model range and is a great way to finish the year.

The Skoda Superb Estate has been voted the best Family Car at the Scottish Car of the Year Awards 2010, which was held at St Andrews on the 5th November 2010 and was hosted by the ASMW.

John Murdoch, President of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW), said,”Our 2010 SCOTY Family winner provides motorists with the maximum of space for minimal money but there has been no compromising on quality. The new Skoda Superb Estate has now gone on sale across the UK and is set to become the most luxurious and most practical car that Skoda offers, within its range of models.

The Skoda Superb has an impressive load capacity of 633 litres with the rear seats in place and a massive 1,865 litre when the rear seats are folded, offering the biggest load capacity in its class. In addition all Skoda Estates are fitted with roof rails as standard as well in case the boot capacity isn’t big enough for you.

The new Superb Estate comes in three trim levels S, SE and Elegance models with three petrol and three diesel engines plus a choice of manual or twin-clutch DSG gearboxes linked to either front of four-wheel drive. Skoda contract hire prices are avalable now.

Skoda has has now added a new 2.0-litre TDI 140bhp common-rail diesel engine to the Superb hatchback and estate range offering lower emissions and better fuel economy in a refined engine package.

The combined mpg of this Skoda Superb model is 52.3 while CO2 emissions fall to 143g/km, with its efficient Euro 5 compliant engine. The new car is available from today with a choice of six-speed manual or twin-clutch DSG tranmissions, in hatchback or estate and in S, SE or Elegance trim. Skoda has updated their Superb Estate 4×4 with a fourth generation Haldex clutch which transfers torque to whichever wheels have the most traction, by taking signals from the ABS sensors. The new models are available in a 1.8 TSI 160bhp and 3.6 V6 260bhp petrol engines as well as a 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp diesel.

The Superb Estate holds the title of  “Top Gear Magazine’s “Luxury Car of the Year” Award and adding four wheel drive is bound to add to its appeal.
