Suzuki Grand Vitara Special Edition SZ-T
If you are looking for a new 4X4 then Suzuki has just launched a new Special Edition Grand Vitara model, the SZ-T, which is now on sale. This new model is based on their popular 1.9-litre DDiS and offers an enhanced specification and exclusivity, with only 500 cars destined for the UK.
The SZ-T includes metallic paint, new design front grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, silver coloured roof rails and bonnet side vents, built-in turn signal lamps for the door mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry and a tailgate mounted spare wheel.
The 129PS Euro 5 1.9-litre DDiS diesel engine offers strong torque for overtaking or driving off-road and the Suzuki Grand Vitara Special Edition SZ-T emits 179g/km of CO2 and returns 41.5mpg. Colour options (all metallic) include, Quasar Grey, Silky Silver, Blueish Black Pearl, Phoenix Red Pearl and Nocturne Blue Pearl. Suzuki contract hire prices for the new model are on the site now.

All-new Suzuki Swift Sport
Suzuki has released the details about its all-new Suzuki Swift Sport compact supermini which goes on sale from January 2012 with prices starting at £13,500. The car has a new Euro 5 1.6-litre 136hp VVT engine offering improved torque with a ten per cent lower combined fuel consumption of 44.1mpg. The car comes with a six-speed manual transmission as standard and its insurance group rating falls by 5 groups, to Group 18.
The specification of the all-new Swift Sport includes auto air conditioning, fog lamps, push button start, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, HID Projector headlamps with headlamp wash and rear privacy glass, ESP and seven airbags.
Co2 emissions are 147g/km yet the car offers a 0-62mph performance of 8.7 seconds, with a maximum top speed of 121mph where permitted. We should have Suzuki contract hire prices on the new model loaded shortly.

Great Wall vehicles
The I.M Group, the UK-based importer and vehicle distributor for Suzuki, Isuzu and Daihatsu has just announced that it will be importing vehicles from the Chinese auto maker, Great Wall Motor Company Limited from 2010.
Initially Eastern Europe will be targeted with the UK getting cars in 2011. The Great Wall Motor Company is a privately owned Chinese car company and has built all of its European bound models to meet EU whole-vehicle type approval standards. Further details about the launch will be announced by I.M Group next year.

Volkswagen and the Suzuki Motor Corporation have agreed to establish a long term strategic partnership in terms of product portfolio, global distribution and manufacturing capacities.
The managment of both companies have agreed that the complimentary strengths of both companies would work well together and the two companies plan a joint approach to the growing worldwide demand for more environmentally friendly vehicles.
Volkswagen intends to purchase 19.9% of Suzuki’s issued shares however the closing of the transaction and the approval, is subject to the relevant authorities. However it is hoped both parties will conclude matters in January 2010.

Suzuki Cruiser range
Suzuki GB has announced the details of its new cruiser line-up for 2010, with the new Intruder M1500 and M800 plus the re-introduction of the C800.
Suzuki is already well known for its 4×4 vehicles, however these punchy new motorbikes add new technology and classic lines to their range.

Suzuki Alto
A Suzuki Alto has taken part in a MPG marathon in Australia managing to complete the 1,900 miles journey at an average fuel consumption of 72mpg overall and a staggering 141mpg attained in City traffic.
The Global Green Challenge was run from North to South Australia (Darwin to Adelaide) and placed conventional fuel cars against others. The Alto won the “Light” and “Small” car categories alike with their 1.0-litre petrol engined vehicle.
Using a simple combination of lightweight design, areodynamics and a small yet efficient petrol engine the Alto saw off competition from the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic Turbo Diesel and Mini Cooper D. Suzuki Alto vehicle specifications are available now.

Suzuki Rear Eye
Suzuki has launched a snazzy new Rear Camera Display RCD) as an accessory option for the Grand Vitara, three and five-door models. The vehicle has a wide-angle camera mounted in the rear bumper that displays a camera picture on the rear view mirror once reverse gear is selected.
The transmits a high resolution image to a 3.5-inch screen and provides additional safety when reversing, especially in a larger vehicle. The accessory costs £459 including VAT and fitting so if you are thinking about contract hiring your next your Suzuki, this would be a great road safety feature to consider.

Suzuki plans to show two new fuel efficient cars at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show later this month. The Swift Plug-in Hybrid is ideal if you are travelling low mileages of around 12miles every day and has been designed to run on electric power.

The other car is the SX4 FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicle) which combines a high performance fuel cell with a high pressure hydrogen tank plus a light compact compacitor. This combination allows Suzuki to offer reduced cell loading and the car is being tested on public roads in Japan.
The Tokyo motor show starts on the 21st October and will run until the 4th November.
