Vauxhall Vivaro

Vauxhall launched the Vauxhall Vivaro back in the summer of 2011 and since then, half a million vans have rolled off the Luton production line. The Vivaro comes in many variants including panel van, double cab, chassis cab, drop side plus combi and bus passenger vehicles. The Vivaro second-generation production also starts in 2014 in Luton and the Vivaro’s popularity in the commercial van sector is reflected by an 18% market share in the UK.

Mark Stein, Vauxhall’s Luton plant director, said,”The Vivaro enjoys a huge success not only in the UK but also in Europe. The van is built to high quality standards and ensures an economical and comfortable ride whilst offering an impressive and practical loading space”. Vauxhall has announced that the production location for the new Vivaro, which is scheduled for a 2013 production, will be from their plant at Luton,which is great news for their UK workforce.

Vauxhall (Opel) and Renault will also continue with their collaboration of producing vehicles in the Light Commercial Vehicle Segment (LCV), which has been ongoing since 1996. Renault confirmed that the Renault Trafic model will continue to be produced at their plant in Sandouville, plus the H2 (high roof) version of the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro as well. Vehicle leasing prices on all Vauxhall and Renault commercial vehicles are on the site now.

Vauxhall Vivaro is SPP Pumps livery

SPP Pumps, a leading manufacturer of centrifrugal pumps and associated systems, has chosen to convert its entire 17-strong commercial fleet to the Vauxhall marque and chose the Vauxhall Vivaro as its main model after positive feedback from their field service engineers.

John Warren, Operations Manager at SPP Pumps explains, “The primary job of our engineers is to fix pumps. Driving is incidental to that and it’s important that as they move between jobs they can do so in comfort and safety so that when they arrive at the customer they are less stressed and tired and able to work effectively. We chose the Vivaro because of its high level of specification to which we added the electric pack, which provides features such as electric windows, mirrors and remote locking. In addition we added air conditioning and up-specification driver seat option that all make the vans more comfortable and easier to drive and use”.

This high specification ensured the residual value on the vehicles were excellent and subsequently the Vauxhall commercial vehicle lease price was attractive. In addition to the Vivaro, SPP Pumps runs three Combos and a Movano dropside truck as well.
