Ford Capri

When the Ford Capri was launched it was revolutionary and offered even a modest buyer an exotic car at an affordable price. The Capri is also starting to rise in value now as its status grows in the classic car market.

British Touring Car racing

A new book detailing some happy memories of British Touring Car racing from the 1960s to 1990 has been launched by Veloce Publishing. The book by Peter Collins is called “British Touring Car racing-The crowd’s favourite -late 1960s to 1990″.

The book is packed full of pictures of the crowd’s favourite cars, paddock, driver and race shots.

Peter Collins is a well-known motoring journalist and photographer and has had a lifelong interest in motorsport and racing history. The book costs £14.99 and is available at all bookshops or you can order copies from the Veloce Publishing website.

Lorries from 1960

For British lorry enthusiasts, a nostalgic new book has been launched, by author Malcolm Bobbitt and Veloce Publishing, taking you back to the 1960′s. The book is a highly visual study of British lorries built during the 1960′s and has 120 colour and black and white images.

Alfa Romeo has reported that the new MiTo is now on sale. There are three versions available namely Turismo, Lusso and Veloce with a choice from five engine variations, three petrol and two diesels.

The new MiTo goes into direct competition in a sector including the Mini so it will have tough competition. However with its attractive innovative styling it delivers head turning good looks so its bound to give the Mini a “run for its money”.

The turbo charged 1.4 Lusso hits 0-62 mpg in 8.4 seconds so it delivers impressive acceleration if required. However it also has a high safety accreditation and has been awarded a 5 star Euro NCAP safety rating.
