New VW Golf Estate
Volkswagen has launched a new generation Golf Estate featuring a fresh look, revised engines and the latest comfort and safety technologies. They have drawn on the design of the Volkswagen Scirocco, new Golf and new Polo, featuring redesigned headlamps and front and rear bumpers. The effect is that the car looks “cleaner” in style. New wheel designs join revised rear lights to also give a fresher look.
Inside the dashboard has been improved adopting the revisions from the new Golk MK VI, plus uprated trim materials and a new range of upholstery. The new Golf Estate will be available in S, SE and Sportline trims, each of which has a high standard of specification including air-conditioning, a CD player, multi-function computer, electric windows and mirrors plus body coloured bumpers, mirrors and door handles.

Safety features include ABS, ESP, driver and passenger’s whiplash-optimised head restraints and six airbags including a de-activation switch for the passenger airbag.
Power comes from a 1.4-litre 122 PS model giving excellent performance and fuel economy thanks to Volkswagen’s TSI technology which uses turbo-charging with a small capacity engine. The diesel options are a new 1.6-litre TDI common rail unit producing 105 PS and the 2.0-litre TDI 140 PS topping the range.
A BlueMotion model will also be available giving additional economy and environmental benefits. Full pricing and vehicle specification details will be announced later in the year with orders being taken in October 2009. Volkswagen car leasing prices on all other VW models are available now.
