Cornwall is renowned as one of the world's iconic destinations with its dramatic northern coastline, sheltered bays in the south, ancient moorland and much more. It has often been used as a film location for both international blockbusters and popular TV programmes and is also a much visited location for art and literature enthusiasts.
Popular locations include St Ives, which was the original artists colony along with Newlyn, and Falmouth. St Ives is now synonymous with art and fishing and offers you a tangle of harbourside alleyways with local galleries and artists' workshops. Falmouth hosts regular exhibitions and has the award-winning Falmouth Art Gallery.
The county of Cornwall boasts 700km of beautiful coastline with over 300 beaches and forms a significant part of the South West Coast Path. The Atlantic coast is a surfers paradise with huge sandy beaches while the English Channel coast is more gentle with its hidden coves.
