Parking services for vehicle fleets

If you run a fleet with a mobile workforce they are going to park their car or van at some point around town.

The normal process is for your driver to pay with their cash or a credit card and claim back the parking fees on their expenses.

Comparecontracthire.com has found a new service provided by NCP, called Gateway and the benefits have been detailed below. Gateway provides easy access to over 90 city and town centre NCP car parks across the UK.

Parking - the service provided

  • There is no need to use cash or credit card as your driver is issued with a personalised Gateway Card.
  • The Gateway Card is only available to businesses and public bodies however.
  • You can set up an account online where a credit check is undertaken prior to your cards being issued.
  • The cards can be set up in the name of the driver and the vehicle registration.
  • You can use the Gateway Card in any NCP car park displaying the Gateway Card logo, to make your payment.
  • You will then receive a consolidated monthly invoice summarising all the parking events incurred across your whole driver user base, at the end of each month.
  • Payment is then required by direct debit.
  • Full management reporting and other administration tasks are available online.
